December 2002 Duane Hill gave an excellent demonstration on turning captive rings, at Denis Falch's studio in Winona, MN.
November 2002 A demo by Ken Grunke on turning ornaments using the inside-out turning technique (reverse-turning). Held at Bill Gautsch's studio in Onalaska, WI.
October 2002 Dave Dapkus gave the group an excellent demo on turning miniature birdhouse ornaments. Held at Denis Falch's workshop space in Winona, MN.
September 2002 Aaron Gesicki showed the group eccentric turning using Owen Lowe's "wankel rotor" offset technique. This meeting was held at A-Line Tools new annex building in LaCrosse.
August 2002 Held at Shorty Mueller"s winter retreat near Alma, WI. After membersgazed in awe at the beautiful log structures (the cabin, sauna, and shop/garage) they sat down to Duane Hill's demo on turning spheres
.July 2002 Billed as the "Robert Sorbet Toolmakers" meeting, held at Jim Cox's place--members made Longworth chucks, David Ellsworth-style hollowing tools, and learned how to heat-treat tool blanks.
June 2002 Meeting at the Bill Gautsch studio. Ken Grunke demo'd his chattertool, and Duane Hill shows the group how to use various hollowing tools.
May 2002 Demo by Aaron Gesicki on the whys and where-fors of all types of bowl-turning tools, held at his 2-car-less garage in Sparta, WI. No pictures were taken at this meeting, as the photographer was busy doing the demo.
