I first made small ornament trees after reading Bob Rosand’s article that I accessed on his website. With this larger walnut blank, I used an 1/8” parting tool. The finish, applied with the lathe running at about 50 rpm, is Master’s Aerosol gloss lacquer. Then, applied Briwax on Liberon 0000 wool. It was the first time I used spray lacquer. I got a little overzealous on the second coat and sprayed it on too thick. No problem. Let it dry for a while, sand it again, and start over.
