Artspire La Crosse is the largest outdoor arts celebration in Downtown La Crosse – an all inclusive and FREE event that begins on Friday night, June 12 with a street dance to the music of La Crosse Jazz Orchestra led by Greg Balfany. King Street will be your dance floor. Also joining us for the kick-off on Friday is the nationally known headliner who will perform from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm that night: Cloud Cult.

Artspire continues through Saturday, June 13, 10:00 am-5:00 pm with over 30 regional artists booths lining King Street for an Artspire Art Fair and Sale. Artists have also been invited to contribute pieces into the first ever Artspire Public Art Project. Local and regional artists are invited to submit up to 3 pieces of 2D work, existing or original, to be juried in to the Artspire Public Art Project. The jury will select three works, which will then display at City Hall until June 1, 2016. Among the jury members is Mayor Tim Kabat.

In addition to the visual art, there is dance, theater, storytelling, art workshops and interactive activities. 2 stages will be hopping with a variety of performances all day Saturday. At the same time the Pump House parking lot will be filled with activities such as painting with a 14 foot paintbrush and creating a community sculpture. It will be a true art celebration that spreads throughout the downtown as many of our downtown businesses are also hosting artisticevents all day Saturday.
