[Crw-talk] Band Saw

Duane always talks about the danger using a Band Saw. You know, he is right. My band saw tagged me this week to the tune of 15 stitches on the middle finger, 4 butterfly bandages on the finger next to the thumb and 3 out of 4 band saw teeth on my thumb. All in all, I was quite lucky. No tendons and no arteries, just a lot of blood and a couple of “O” Sh**’*.

I was trimming a small vase and a rotted piece of wood broke. I had just shifted from a safe position to a risky position and it was also my last cut on the piece of wood. It happened so fast. I was pulling away when the wood broke, but not quite fast enough. I am glad I was balanced on my feet so I could start to pull back.

Again, be careful when using a band saw.
