John and all,
Good point. I will resend. Maybe the drought is affecting those electrons, moving slower than usual, gobbled by PM.
The following is geeky: read at you own risk.
1. The currently used club’s CRW talk software is Mailman software is 2.1.38, the most current is 3.3.8, written in the Python language, which should be stable. I do not know the effect of the current Mailman version on handling the current email traffic. I believe the computer running the OS maybe a type of Unix, Linux or similar and able to be used on a variety of computers. If so, the OS is free and open source, and certainly out of my wheelhouse. Mailman is free according to the Mailman web site. Does not mean Mailman it not a good product, it’s just free and requires a knowledgeable webmaster such as Ken to manage. We all know the CRW club membership has shrunk over the years, and email traffic is minimal. Am hoping Ken will review and possibly update, as needed. There are mail server products available that run on Windows computers, but these are not free!
2. Many years ago, in a different life, I ran a private type (kinda like the CRW server) mail server, had 300-1000 members fluctuated over the years, 5-20 +emails per day, usually requested by subscribers to receive only 1 email per day, the setting called Digest, in essence, divvy-up into separate topics as desired so people did not get email pollution on their computers. Private lists, minimize hacking, a good thing. Only subscribers can post or read the CRW emessages. When someone joins the CRW club, Ken subscribes the new members, a transparent process for members. The first subscriber email list product my college used to run a mail server called Radsci-L was Listserv, followed by MajorDomo, and the final product used was possibly Mailman, a free software, run on a Linux computer system via the college IT dept. My role was list owner and manager, not the techy guy, but certainly able to handle all assorted situations, including email bounces, rejected email, subscribing unsubscribing, members, sparking discussion as needed, fielding questions, and helping subscriber people, etc. It was a fun labor of love project for a professional group I was part of for bout 9 ½ years. I do know, running a mail server can be challenging; as Ken knows, and glitches indeed can happen and sometimes do. I also used Yahoo groups for a small professional group, which worked well. I do not know if Yahoo groups is still available or costs. It was free in the mid 2000’s
3. Someone suggested in the last couple of days, for members to use an email package other than AOL when interacting with CRW talk. We know AOL is not the AOL we may remember from the mid 1990’s, however, AOL mail is still out there, and has many users, and continues to be viable. I don’t believe the CRW police should be involved in recommending email software to use. When changing email or adopting new email, all kinds of issues complicate communication with people. For me personally, I’ve had to use by Gmail for many email services, only because my Android phone hates charter email, making it IMPOSSIBLE to send charter email. The CRW-talk server does not accept email coming from my gmail phone’s account, as I’m only subscribed via my charter email.
Please, fix or update the CRW software as needed, Do not suggest using a new email address for this sole purpose.
4. I do suspect, however, paying for an email list management service would be a consideration going forward, set up so more than one club member person could help manage. Some of these have reasonable costs for such a small club and minimal traffic such as CRW has. Funded by dues, recall the kitty currently has bout $3,000 I believe.
Thank you, -Raasch

Bob, it must have been eaten by a gremlin. One that munches down on electrons, kind of like a Pac Man. Just resend it, As I enter my ninth decade, if there is one thing I have figured out, it is electronic devices are subject to glitches. John

I think it is always wise for club members to help maintain safe meetings. The excitement of live demonstrations, along with Co-Vid complacency and rusty remembering, shouldn't numb us to safety recommendations.
Perhaps a demonstration checklist of av, equipment and seating set up would help with memory cobwebs.
I am impressed that this club has the trust and respect of all members so concerns are able to be presented without retribution.
Kudos to the club as a whole. Pam
