Nice job Bob.  Something out of the ordinary.  I like how you used a contrasting wood for the dowel and wedge.  How did you cut the textured surfaces?  Thanks.  Jerry

New skill development for me, a meat tenderizer for a gift.  Maple mallet head, hickory handle  approx. 5”X3”X2” head, 2 axis offset handle 11” including tenon,  walnut wedge and plug. Mineral oil finish.  Tenderizer head pointy things, bandsawn cut at 25 degrees in both directions.  Lots of fixes er design opportunities along the way.
