[crw-talk] Zoom how to and basic ground rules

Good morning Turners, ahead of the first virtual general meeting for the
club this Saturday at 1000, I wanted to send out some basic info and some
ground rules to help make this a success and a enjoyment for all. I have
included a couple cheat sheets I found on the AAW site.

I plan to send out the invite 1 hour prior to the meeting.
-When you log in I would ask that you mute your mic at first. Most pc mics
pick up all sounds so if there is a lot of background noise where you are
it would be recommended to leave it muted until you are ready to speak or
try to move to a quieter area.
- The plan is to open with a greeting and a basic how to for anyone new to
Zoom. Then board meeting minutes and general business. I would like the
lion's share of the time to be used for the members present to show off a
piece or two they have made during our time away.  We will go to each
person present on video to present so lets see those works.
-There is a message feature if you want to chat with individual members or
the whole group. Please try to utilize that feature especially if you want
to chat with an individual member so we are not trying to "talk-over" each
other.
-There is a "raise hand" feature we will use during discussions. I can host
up to 100 people but may only be able to see a certain number on the video
screen. This will ensure your ideas/comments are heard by the group.
-Be patient, this is a new platform for a few people. There is a learning
curve but we can help each other learn and grow on this as we do on the
Lathe.

I plan to have the room open about 10 minutes prior to the meeting if
anyone wants to come early or has questions.
