[crw-talk] Hollowing

Hollowing away in Buffalo Cityville.
Searching the right wall thickness.
Maybe a half, will go with 1/4” I guess.
If it catches it’s my own darn fault.
*With apologies to Jimmy Buffet.  White ash, 1 1/8” hole, bored to the bottom of the hollow form.  Tools used to hollow were the John Jordan cutter used first then a similar tool with a wider cutter I purchased from Ken Grunke to clean up the interior and arrive at my intended wall thickness.  The depth indicator on the Jordan tool is shop built (evident from the very rough welding on it.)
Next I will refine the top around the opening, try to perfect the outer profile; then sand and part off.  Slop on a bit of finish and wait for the instant gallery.
