[Crw-talk] Freedom Pens Project

Hello club members,

I am writing to inform you of the Freedom Pens Project, which I am a 
member of (as is Joseph Baker, our former librarian). Members of the 
project turn Funline pens supplied by the project and the completed pens 
are given to active duty military.  You supply the wood and finish.  The 
only hard core requirement is they be less than 1/2" in diameter so they 
will fit in the sleeve pen pocket in the uniforms.  I make them about 
.42" in diameter.

To join, send $40 to the project and they will send you 25 Funline 
kits.  You complete them and put a paper slip with your name and type of 
wood in the bag each kit comes in and mail them back to the person 
running the project.  His name is Joe Vander Linden and he has been 
copied in on this email so you can contact him directly if you wish.

I will have some flyers at the meeting.  Please give this worthwhile 
project some consideration.
