I have been errant in getting our newsletter out to you.

Please consider this a "Call For Artists!"

>From the beginning, the WWE Planning Committee has set as a primary goal of extending an invitation to turners in Minnesota and Wisconsin to be demonstrators in our ever expanding Wisconsin Woodturners Expo.  This year we had Jim Anderson demonstrating cowboy hats from the Harry Nohr club in Platteville, WI; Wade Wendorf demonstrating the Rose Engine and Spatulas from the MN Woodturners Assn in the Twin Cities; Duane Hill demonstrating threading and Phil Miller demonstrating segmented construction from the Coulée Region Woodturners in La Crosse, WI; Ron Warshall demonstrating eggs and spheres from the Northwoods Woodturners in St Germaine, WI, and Bruce Scherlin demonstrating lamination techniques for pen turning from the Chippewa Valley Woodturners in Eau Claire, WI.  These turners are on the DVD set along with Dick Sing, Jamie Donaldson, and Bill Rubenstien that is available from our club at a cost of $75.00 plus shipping via USPS.  The cost for attendees at the Expo was $50.00.

We want to include turners from your club in next years event.  We want to continue to highlight the talented turners in Minnesota and Wisconsin by giving the men, women, and youth of our clubs an opportunity to celebrate their talents with the rest of us in "Wissota" country, as well as attendees joining us from surrounding states.

This year we had our first pre-registration for attendees.  We had reservations come in from Michigan, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota, as well as more from Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Take the time right now to inform your members about the Annual Wisconsin Woodturners Expo on November 3rd and 4th, 2012, and let them know that we want to have them demonstrate.
