<div dir="ltr" data-setdir="false">Red Oak is an open grained wood and honey would absorb into the wood. White Oak or hard maple would be a better choice of wood. Both are closed grain and hard. Hard wood would provide stronger finished edges with sharp tools. </div><div><br></div>

RO requires very very sharp tools to cut the dipper grooves.
