I have some Cherry logs.  Do you have a way to process them?

Besides making some delightful "scoops" for club challenge,Please consider making a wig stand or 2 for our sisters in health challenges need in the Coulee Region.Time for both?Attached is 1 I recently  completed to contribute.
Also, if you know of any sources of "FREE" stand timbers - 2"+ thick nominal x 6-7 wide, preferablly not walnut (I'm developing sensitivity), please share info with group.
Soft white woods like pine, fir (hemlock fir) etc., and even butternut don't work well for stand tops & bases, same with red oak. Southern yellow pine would probably work.
Local lumber companies in LaCrosse & Onalaska either don't carry such or aren't interested in donating, even scraps/cutoffs as my search finds.
Thanks. -raasch
