[crw-talk] Club's Instagram account

One way to publicize the club.  I don't know the impact of Instagram on 
the kind of members we are likley to recruit.

Back in the pandemic days we entertained ourselves by posting photos of 
our work on CRW talk, it generated a lot of interest and comment.  Josh 
often posted the photos (with permission) on Instagram.  I think it 
might be worthwhile to post a photo of each instant gallery piece on the 
account.  Easy to do, we can utilize the pictures used in the Newsletter 
and with consent post on Instagram.  We could have a page on it giving 
details of the club for those who take an interest.

When I was actively trying to peddle my stuff (that ship has sailed) I 
posted on a Facebook page but never got any interest other then friends 
and family liking a picture.  Then I opened my own Instagram account but 
only made one sale.  People would like my stuff.  I gave up Instagram 
when all the woodturning pictures and posts disappeared and all that was 
left was Instagram trying to be like TicTok with clips of young people 
dancing.  So I took it off my phone and never looked back.  Day in and 
day out, I sold best in high end shows aimed at out of town money.  
Local craft shows, local people won't spend the money.

Bottom line, someone with interest and knowledge of how it works could 
possibly benefit the club.
