I demonstrated making a hook tool in the Pavilion in Onalaska 3 years ago.

In the past, before my time, we had sessions that involved building hook tools. Alan Lacer also demonstrated building them the first time we had him visit. It involves lots of grinding to shape a piece of steel bar and a torch capable of heating the steel enough so it can be bent.
We can also build a bent bar accessory to hold a hollowing tool straight while indicating the thickness of the wall while hollowing with a small coil spring or piece of credit card. Contact Ken Grunke, I once bought one from him. They have a name but I do not recall what it is. J
