Rounded bulb head favors a liquid stream into the tea cup as opposed to a pleasing rim progression of a golden shower of honey, ink on bulb could turn rancid and poison the crumpet divots, shallow grooves increase the likelihood of air bubbles within the drips. Or your dipper is the bees knees. Nice job. I would use it on toasted crumpets. LOL

Howdy,
At todays turning meeting, skew challenge items were presented. Twas a fun challenge. My submission, using only the skew is attached. Tools used- large, beefy Lacer Skew (1 3/8), and Pinnacle Cryogenic HSS 5\8 (3/4) x 1/4. Wood used- approx. 6”long X 1” max diam, birds eye maple. Start and finish sanded with 320 grit. Finish- mineral oil and beeswax.
If you can find the, at least 2, design or technic deficiencies, ya win the prize.
The home web link here shows a real pro using that amazing, mysterious traditional tool. His name is Steve Jones, a production turner from the UK. Steve doesn’t teach, but his technic is a feast for the eyes.
