I think it would be a great idea, when I put on a show there for the woodturning group, I also included many furniture pieces when I had my business. They advertised it well and we had many people show up for the opening night and the month that everything was displayed. 
I would recommend on talking to them and getting on the list, It might take a good year or more to have the display/show,  if anything try to have the show in the late fall to winter time, you will have more people attend rather then the Summer months, but it is up to them also. They will take a percentage of sales and as I remember right it was a big percentage, but they have to pay to keep the lights on also, so mark up your pieces to cover yourself.

That was a great event. I had just started with the club and was able to display one of my pieces. It was really gratifying for me. All members were asked to display their work if they wanted to.

We did one probably 15 years ago or more. We had great participation.  The pump house said it was their biggest opening reception ever.
