Just read this on the archive.....

 

The picture with the short hairline crack was CA glued and I thought I was
out of the woods. However, during lite shear scraping I heard a pop! I was
unsure where it came from because it's never happened to me before. The
large crack was where I thought the piece was solid. Yes, I was wearing a
face mask. 

 

The piece is now firewood. Even if I glued it up I wouldn't be able to know
how stable the wood is. Pays to be cautious. 

 

 

-raasch-  reminds of the large bowl accident dat happened at Jim Frank's
shop some years ago..we, Kris, Bob and Jim and Kris's dog were lucky, well,
less so with Jimmy. 

These anecdotes are important to share...thanks for doing so Bob.
