Please see this request for volunteers for Earth Fair April 30th. If you are not able to open this, or would rather not open it,  I have included the text here. 

Greetings,   Coulee Woodturners have been invited to participate in this year’s  14th annual Earth Fair on April 30th at Myrick Park in LaCrosse WI.

This will be a great opportunity to showcase our club and the wonderful things that can be made on a lathe.   

I am looking for people to make this a fun and educational event.  More people = more fun!

I am hoping to have volunteers available to demonstrate some woodturning on site  along with some displays of projects and creations from the club.

We are planning on having 2 lathes turning throughout the fair and asking for people to sign up to either turn some items during the fair, or be around the both to talk with folks about woodturning and the club. 

Since this is a family event there will be lots of families and I am looking for volunteers to make small tops that we can give away to kids and families.  I am hoping to get club members to donate between 75-100 small toy tops collectively.  If you can make a few tops for this even please bring them to an meeting or give me a call and I will come pick them up ( with in a 100 mile range please).

Ideally, I would like to have people contact me about times they could be around either taking a turn turning or just talk with people. But spontaneously showing up would be OK.   We will need some donated toy tops along with some blanks to be used as turning demonstrations. 

We will need help during the even as well as setting up and tearing the booth down after the show. 

We are also able to have club members sell their creations from our demonstration area so if you have items you would like to sell please contact me for more details.
