I would get some different wood. You will fight that thing all the way through and may end up with structure too weak for the intended purpose. Or keep it, make something, and use a different blank for the bowl harp.

I have a piece of cherry that is 12 inches in diameter and about 3 inches thick. One of the cracks goes all the way through.   I am looking to stabilize this and fill in the cracks.  There also appears to be a little bit of punkiness.   Also note that I plan on using this to make a bowl harp, so there will be alot of strain on it.

Is this doable?

If so, does anyone have a pressure pot big enough that can help me?
