Hi! Bob  ! Thanks for the good mesage. Yes! To the members who were not in attendance!  They missed a very good education!  So hopefully we will see 30 to 40 members at our meetings in the coming months!  I'll help pass the word and lets all pass the word to BE THERE! Kudos to those turning club heroes.  To be sure, in my view, the AV setup was stellar, good camera angles, great image display on the large screen TV’s, the audience could easily hear the presenter and good room setup.  Duane running the AV did a marvelous job of changing cameras selected based on the content being presented to show the images. We all benefitted from Duane’s efforts.Lyndal’s presentation was executed well and provided answers to all that was asked. His works are beautiful! I did not attend the whole presentation (arrived late), but learned a lot during my brief time of attendance. I’m ashamed I did not join the Friday evening setup party and wish express my apologies to P, D, and J for not joining.  It was good and responsible however,  that many members stayed after the presentation/meeting to clean up and take equipment back to the storage cage. It takes all of us to chip in when possible to have a good meeting.  7 wig stands were collected. Thank you to all who made them.  For any club or organization to be successful, it takes interest, friendly,  collegial and cooperative work to share the load when possible. Based on my observation,  this turning club has been struggling since the move to Luther post COVID to get back on track. Remember the good ol’ days.  I believe much of that ol’ club spirit can return if we believe we are in this together.   Aaron mentioned Saturday morning that elections will be coming soon for 2024, please consider running for an office- ALL are up for grabs annually. If not an office, there are several ancillary positions that are just as important. I personally know there is lots of organizational talent out there in addition to your wonderful turning skills. Talk to your turning friends, lobby, etc. , 2024 may well be a pivotal year.  As a former board member B/4 Covid, I’d be happy to mentor a new board member.  Enjoy the rest of the week, feels like the tropics out there! Thank you, -raasch
