Members,

Those of you who were present saw a great demo on deep hollowing by 
Lyndal Anthony yesterday.  Those who did not attend missed a wonderful 
meeting.  John Fisher ran it with aplomb.  We had two TV sets running.  
Duane ran the video and we again had some wonderful up close and 
personal shots of the turning process.  We began with the Instant 
Gallery which was full of wonderful items.  Bob Raasch was loaded down 
with seven more wig stands to distribute thanks to Denis and Lavonne.  
We did the Instant gallery on camera for a great view of each piece.  
Aaron and Bob Raasch spoke of the need for folks to step up to run for 
office, nominations and then voting will be soon.

The demo was inspiring, it had me planning my next hollowing adventure.  
And I learned valuable information on the use of negative rake scrapers 
to smooth the inside of the vessels as well as ways to finish them with 
color.

Thanks to those who worked into the night Friday evening to get the 
video and sound set up, connected and running.  Your work is greatly 
appreciated.  Thanks to Pam for the new(ish) video cart which is sturdy 
as can be and should outlast even our youngest member!
