Thank you for committing to participate in this year's Folk Life La Crosse on July 17, 10 am-3 pm at Historic Hixon House, 429 7th St N.
A few quick reminders:
- Demonstrator/exhibitor check-in begins at 9:00 am on Sunday morning.
- If you have requested the use of a tent, we will have it set up for you before check-in.
- All booth setup and vehicle removal must be completed before 10 am. Music and a vintage car will be in the driveway, so we need it clear by 10 am for them to set up.
- LCHS has some folding chairs that they can provide if needed, but I strongly encourage you to bring your own for comfort.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. My cellphone number is 608-385-5201.
Attached is a map of the grounds. It is not to scale but provides an approximate layout of the grounds.
I will have chilled bottles of water available throughout the event at no charge for demonstrators. I will distribute them, and they can also be picked up in the Gift Shop.
It will be a bit warm on Sunday; if you need a break from the heat, feel free to take a break in the Gift Shop. There is a waiting room type area set up inside. There is a port-a-potty behind the Gift Shop and a bathroom in the Gift Shop available for use.
Street parking is free with no restrictions on the weekends around Hixon House and Western Technical College.
Thank you, and I will see you on Sunday.
