I had this bowl at the recent club meeting for the instant gallery.  I left
the worm holes and trails for authenticity and finished it with four coats
of spray on Minwax Polycrylic. My observation is that product makes the
piece look worse when the first two or so coats are applied but sand and lay
on a couple more coats, and then the magic happens.
