Mark, here is a shot of my outside roughing with a square or almost so, EWT knock off. I applied your teaching and got a nice result on a pretty distressed piece of white ash that had laid in a wetland around Holcomb WI before sitting in my shed for 11 years. Next step will be to do some bowl gouge work to refine the shape and remove the imperfections and torn end grain. Of course I will then reverse and hollow it, again with carbide and save my steel tools for the finish work.
Thanks for the wisdom you shared yesterday.
(End plan for the bowl is to woodburn a decorative band following the natural edge on the outside after it is sanded and still chucked).
Again thanks for your demo and we will have you back late next summer or fall.
