[crw-talk] victory over violence fundraiser or other

 Hi everyone,  
I hope that March is treating you well, especially since we have gotten past that really cold spell that we had.  Some members have contacted me about donating bowls, vases, and boxes to the New Horizons Victory over Violence fundraiser.  Just a reminder, I would like to collect all of the donations by March 14th.  If you are donating something, it would be helpful if you could write up a little information about each donation and an estimated price.  If you would like to receive a receipt, please include the dollar amount, your name and either an email address or mailing address and Patty from New Horizons will send you a receipt.

Hi Kris,

If we could get the items for Victory Over Violence around March 18th to allow time to get the items built into the auction and give some social media love to them to promote.

Tax receipts are definitely easy to provide. I’ll handle it myself for each person.

I’m open to anything you think might be awesome for our clients. Creativity and a fresh perspective is always welcome!J

Hi Patty,

I would like to organize collecting some items for the April fundraiser.  When will you need these by?  What other information would you like regarding the items that you will receive?  Some of the members may want receipts for tax purposes, do you provide them?

Is there anything else besides the spinning tops that you might like for the guests?

To the staff at New Horizons,

I am the secretary of the Coulee Region Woodturners club here in the La Crosse region.  Our members create hand made bowls, vases, platters and boxes out of wood and other materials.  At the last meeting, one of our members commented that he has too much "inventory" built up and was wanting to donate some of it to a local organization. I suggested New Horizons and several other members agreed that this would be a good organization to support.  

I have a couple of ideas on what our club could do to offer support.  One, we could donate items that can be auctioned off at your fundraisers.  Two, I see that one of the items on your donation list is fidget toys.  Many of our members turn tops.  I'm not sure if this would qualify as a fidget toy in your mind or not.  Three, donate items to be given to people utilizing the shelter so they get something new just for them as they start a new chapter of their lives.

Please let me know if our club could be of assistance to your organization.
