Subject: [crw-talk] A Proper Lady
Members, I saw some turned figurines on line and said, “Self, you could make that”, so, by George I did. I tried very hard to make her tasteful, no Barbie Doll proportions and wearing a floor length natural edge gown. The hat is part of the same limb I made the rest of it from, glued on at an angle. The wood is FOG, kind of looks like oak but the bark seems to not be oak. Oak has a distinctive oder but I did not smell that. Very heavy and dense wood that actually feels like oak when I put a tool to it. Wet and some cracking did happen.
John
