Wipe on Poly. 6 coats. Coat # one is actually two or three coats,
applied and reapplied while wet so as much as possible soaks into the
wood. After that sand as needed and reapply till you have multiple
coats on. After the first coat I can get three coats a day on if I
start early, let dry and reapply noonish and again about 5ish. Then I
use a Mike Peace concoction of beeswax, mineral oil and Diatomatious
earth rubbed on with a fine abrasive pad then wiped off for a sheen that
won't quit and will last forever. Tell the person no soaking nor
dishwasher, and hand wash/dry.
