I do Etsy as well and some months I have zero sales other times like holidays I do well. Last year I had many sales from September through January and treenware sells the best. I also tout my stuff on Instagram. John

I'm lucky if I make one sale per month on Etsy. I could do better if I pushed it harder. Like Aaron, I'm trying to reduce inventory of turnings. I have two display shelves full of items, plus double as much more in boxes that need some kind of finishing touch or other. I listed two new items on Etsy 3 weeks ago, then posted them on Facebook. Within a couple days, a cousin of mine purchased one. So Facebook offers selling opportunities as well, if you have a sizeable list of contacts, be it relatives, friends, or acqaintances.
Here is the one my cousin nabbed:

I no longer sell anything, anywhere.
When selling, my best successes have been in craft/gift shops, with my stuff on consignment.
I dabbled with ETSY for a few minutes, but didn’t have that Ken Grunke enthusiasm and tenacity to make it work effectively.
When I left Wisconsin in 2008, all that ended. Today, If I make something, Amy gets the right of first refusal unless it was requested by friend or family member.
Just yesterday I gave three unique turned-green-then-warped objects to daughter and grandsons. [pic of one attached.]
I’m gradually reducing inventory, working towards ginning up enough self-interest to actually start making stuff again.
A request – any member that would like to share some one-on-one time with me, your shop or mine, please let me know. I can probably help with something and I enjoy seeing the details of how others work and what they make.

Aaron,
What internet site do you use? I haven’t been a seller, but would like to see it.
Thanks,
Bob

Ken Garden would like to apologize for bothering everyone with my request to do a demo. I thought I was sending it James Bloomer only. Didn't know it was going to everyone. I didn't know who to contact so I hit reply to James's last e-mail. Keep well, Keep turning. Ken

H ello James; my name is Ken Garden. I have been a member for about 5 years but I have not made it to many meetings for two reasons. Though I always enjoy the meetings, but they are about a three and a half hour round trip and saturdays are hard to get free. I was at the meeting 2 months ago when decorating was the demo. That was after the zoom meeting with Mike Peace. The last meeting I tried zoom but it was not working. To the point, I do some production turning for craft fairs that I would be willing to demo. I make small side grain boxes (3.5") and start and finish 3 in an hour. I can also show how I do weed pots, also 3 an hour. They are not hard once you know a few tips. I have several other tips I could share. several club members
know me just not well . Call if you have questions. there is more that I could add but I type slow so a phone call would be easier. ken 608-383-3213
