[crw-talk] Adrian’s Challenge

Hello all,
Many of you know that I have been on a hollowing journey this last while.  I bought a small Sorby gooseneck tool at last fall’s tool buy and have made some with EWT cutters too.
So I found a nice walnut limb that a hollowform in it, cut away everything that was not hollowform, then decided it needed a contrasting finial.
(Drum roll here). A couple years ago President Adrian held a finial challenge so I entered one I had made of ash, which I entered then put away.  Well, the finial looked good but was too small for the hole.  Being an old hotrodder from the ‘50’s where they used adaptor plates to fit Cadillac V8’s to ‘32 Fords and the like for example, I made a little adaptor out of ash to fit the finial and the form, by George I think it turned out Okay.
Thank you Adrian, I did the right thing when I stepped aside so you could take over as president.
