Greetings all,
Here are a couple shots of a yarn bowl that I completed recently.  It was turned from a walnut log I had set aside for the Jimmy Clewes hands on during his visit in the fall of 2019 which you recall was cancelled because of a family illness.

This was turned in spindle orientation and hollowed with a hook tool.  Several coats of wipe on poly.  I started with a base coat of boiled linseed oil hoping for more luster but that did not work for me.  Instead it seemed to slow the drying and I did not get the finish I had hoped for.
