I can wait until Saturday morning.  I just need some space for my scroll saw, access to an electrical outlet, and a small table on which to set some wood and supplies.  I could also use an extra person to help bring in the saw.

I am not going to drive down to the meeting tomorrow.? The weather 
predictions sounds too darn nasty.? So I will not be doing my part of 
the round robin.? And I had a guest lined up too, will bring him to the 
February meeting instead.

As for the other round robin presenters, Kris said she will need only a 
table.? Denis Falch said he will need only a table.? Dan Wilson will 
need a table and power cord, he planned to bring his scroll saw.

Dear CRW Members,

We recently received an updated weather warning for the La Crescent area.  The forecast is for the snow to become a wintery mix later tonight, resulting in a layer of ice hidden beneath more snow to come by tomorrow morning.  The road from the valley to our home on top of the bluffs will not be sanded in time for me to attend the meeting tomorrow morning.  

I will not be able to attend the CRW meeting to make the presentation on creating inlays with the scroll saw.  I apologize for the late notice, but I was hoping the forecast would change for the better.  Unfortunately, it changed for the worse.  If any of you know the phone number of our current CRW president, James, please call him to relay this message.

Good Day All, hope you had a good weekend and stayed warm.
After getting a few question on it I thought I would clarify.
The events that were going to take place during the now cancelled January
meeting are going to now take place during the February meeting. We will
have the round robin demo.

I would also like to announce that Duane Hill has graciously accepted the
position as out new Tool Czar. For those that didn't know, Bob stepped
down. I want to thank Bob Raasch for his excellent work keeping track of
the clubs loaner tools and helping them grow and be utilized by club
members.

Good afternoon members, I come bearing good tidings. Larry McTaggart was at
a grandparents night At Luther High and after speaking with the industrial
arts teacher, they seemed open to a demo for the industrial arts program.
I just got off the phone with the instructor there and have the following
for you to consider.

They would like to set up a Demo where members would be there to turn and
talk about wood turning and the club.
tentative date is Mar  11, setup at 1200 with the demo being 1300-1500(1-3
pm) I was thinking minimum of 3 members turning/speaking. We would demo
different types of turning/materials. The instructor thinks they would have
about 50 there.
Depending on interest after the demo there would be a hands on demo setup
for his woods 2 classes.

I would definitely like to have as many for the demo as possible. So that
we can allow small groups to engage the demonstrators, as well as have
members able to answer questions. Also being able to demonstrate different
types of turning, Bowls, pens, end grain, platters, and spindle turning.
While also ensuring safety is observed.

We will definitely discuss more at the Feb meeting. I have invited the
instructor to come as well. Looking forward to seeing you all there.
