This will be our first time at this event and we all appreciate the invitation.? Please read her email which is attached and print out the map she has enclosed if you will be able to help. All members are welcome to participate. She needs to know how many will be participating so when we enter the grounds the gatekeepers will have wristbands.? I have six people signed up so far: they are Duane Hill, John Phillips, Bob Raasch, Kris Clough, Dan Wilson and John Griffiths.? If other members plan to attend, let me know. We will need volunteers to move two club lathes and related equipment to the site and back, let me know if you can help. Bring pieces you wish to sell, or if you can't attend but want pieces offered for sale, give them to someone who will be attending.? As usual, the club keeps 25% of the sale price.? We should have a good day for sales.? Bring wood for demonstrating and tools. Thanks for reading this, and even more if you can help. Attached is a proof of the map visitors will receive at Folk Life La Crosse. It has a map of the grounds showing tents and participant locations, so you can know where you will be situated. It also includes of a list of everyone who has registered. I am requesting two things from you: 1. Please review how we have written your name and/or name of your organization. Any corrections need to get back to me ASAP. 2. Please respond to this email with a number of how many in your group will be attending. Last time we had all sorts of people coming and going declaring they were with so-and-so. It got overwhelming for our ticket staff at the gate. This year we plan to have entrances at both the front of the property and the back, by the little parking lot. We want to issue wristbands to demonstrators and vendors and would appreciate knowing how many to expect from your different organizations. Thank you all very much for being part of the event. We are anticipating a big turnout: the American Queen paddle wheeler will be at dock at Riverside Park, and those passengers will be coming to Hixon House by tour bus. It should be busy! If you have any questions about the event, please let me know.
