No small items that can grow legs and walk away nor fragile pieces.? Nothing has ever been stolen from that venue. I just finished labeling the pieces for the Old Main Gallery and I counted up 122 pieces, and at first I dared hope for 100.? Later I decided 120 would be a nice number to shoot for and you came through.? But the turning point was the meeting on Saturday where about 50 more came in.? Plus the ones I have at home of my own.? Many members sent pieces that are for display only but by and large we have a lot of pieces that are for sale. I priced them from $15 (one item) to the heavy hitters such as Duane Hill, he has a beautiful ash platter for sale at $300.? I did take some up-pricing liberties with a few pieces to keep them about equal to others.? I did not price anything lower than marked. Next time any of you see Denis Falch, be absolutely certain to thank him for his kind donation of about 20 pieces to the club. They are to be sold at Old Main or some of our other events and the proceeds go to the club treasury.? His very unique and finely turned pieces are a credit to his design and craftsmanship; and source of inspiration to all of us. I believe a few more pieces will be coming in between now and set up, February 26th.? If you decide you want to display any more pieces, get them and and a list of each piece and it's price or marking "not for sale" to Bob Raasch, Dan Check, Ken Critzman or myself by set up time. If you want to see the display, attend an event at Old Main during the month of March.? They offer a variety of musical and theatrical events and have a gallery where different artists display their works each month.? Contact Sue Byom at the email above, she will be all too happy to give you information.
