I have a large box elder that needs to come down.  The first few feet of 
the trunk have an unusual texture with lots of large outgrowths.

Most box elders I cut down here have red in the center, so this 
one probably does too.  I'd like to see something interesting and useful 
done with the wood, so I'm contacting you.


Might folks in CRW be interested in the tree or parts of it?  I haven't 
yet arranged to get it cut down, not sure how or when that will happen. 
  Perhaps I could donate it to you and someone could make me a plate or 
bowl from it in exchange.


I've enjoyed watching and talking to some of your group when you've 
done demonstrations at local fairs.
