The Coulee Region Woodturners is sponsoring Cindy Droza in October this year.  We would like you to attend our meeting with her demonstrations and we have a few open spots at our hands-on training that you or someone in your organization may be interested in.  Cindy will be demonstrating on Saturday October 15th from 9 AM till 3:30 PM.  The cost is $35 which includes coffee, donuts, and lunch.  Her Sunday or Monday Hands-on will cost $125 which includes the necessary wood for the projects, a lathe to work on and lunch.

Saturdays demonstration will definitely be open.  Email your registration for Sunday or Mondays Hands-On.  Notice has been sent to other clubs in the area so do not delay.

We have many spots open for Saturday, 1 opening for Sunday and 3 openings for Monday.

The Sunday Hands-on will be Finial Turning Intensive - Learn to have a light touch and careful aim, and the confidence to make thin, delicate turnings. Challenging and inspiring - for any skill level.
The Monday Hands-on will be Triangular Box and other Multi-Axis spindle projects - Using multiple centers, a triangular shape is created on the lathe. This class covers the layout technique and some ways to use it to enhance turned projects. We will create a Triangular Box, combining multi-axis technique and basic box-making techniques.   
Saturday demonstrations will include many of the following: Finial Box, Banksia Pod Inspiration, Multi-Axis Hollow Form, Fabulous Finials, Gilded Sea Urchin Ornament, Finial Star Lidded Bowl, Banksia Pod Mushroom Box, Triangular Box, Box with Inlay in Lid, Entry Level - Ikebana Vases, Tea Lights, and Oil Candles, Maximizing Burl Figure, The Negative-Rake Scraper,  Metal Machining Techniques, A Jigsaw Puzzle Business Plan for Artists, and other possible options: Critique, question and answer session, or digital “slide” show and lecture (from 10 min. to 1 1/2 hrs).
