[Crw-talk] Empty Bowls

	John Griffiths asked me to write something about where the bowls we
donate for Empty Bowls go to. The money collected by the Holmen High
School Art club goes to local food pantries. Each bowl is sold and the
money goes to a food pantry (different ones each year). Our bowls are
extremely popular. The school staff tends to line up when the wooden
bowls arrive to get first choice. We normally have between 30 and 50
bowls to donate. One year we had as many as 100 bowls. I will be
picking up bowls at the November meeting. I will be dropping them off
at Holmen around December 1. I don't know yet when the Empty Bowls
supper is, but will let you know. Bowls can be of any wood, sized 4"
to 12" in diameter. Each piece should have the turner's name, species
of wood and the finish. If you have any questions, call me at
