Members, a few things that need attention:

First is the tool buy.  Pore through your Craft Supply catalog and find 
the things you want Santa (Duane) Hill to deliver at the December 
meeting.  You will get your items in time to wrap them and put them 
under the tree.  Or you can just rush home, rip them out of the packing 
and start to use them that afternoon.  Whatever lights your board.  The 
items you buy through the tool buy come with a discount, often around 
12% depending on the size of the order plus free shipping and no sales 
tax.  Put your list together and get it to Duane at the meeting or even 
before.  Absolute deadline is 12/1.  He needs the item name and number, 
quantity and page number if the catalog.  Pay after the order is in when 
the exact cost will be and before the December meeting.

Second, Empty Bowls is an excellent cause at Holmen School. Donate your 
bowl by bringing it to the November meeting.  It should be marked with 
your name, type of finish and species of wood.  Suggested bowl size is 4 
to 12 inches.

Third, we still are in need of some willing volunteers to step up to the 
plate and become a board member.  The day to day operation of the club 
takes place at the board level, and makes it possible to run the club 
without lengthy business meetings on meeting days.  We know you much 
prefer to watch a demonstration at club meetings rather than than listen 
to treasurer reports.  So please consider volunteering.  We have one 
board meeting per month, not the largest obligation one could take on.
