Fellow CRW Members,
We need your help. Nick Cook will spend Saturday and Sunday, March 21 and
22 with us, and we need your participation in the setups, workshops, and
cleanups as follows:
Yesterday or Sooner: Please send your registration money to Phil Miller or
Gary Friemann, $25 for Saturday and $110 for Sunday. We would like to feed
you lunch, but we need at least 40 members registered for Saturday in order
to pay for the presenter and the food. By registering early, you can help
us determine how many sandwiches to purchase.
We also need a total of eight members to register for the Sunday
workshop. Monies
can be sent to:
Phil Miller, 2831 Onalaska Avenue, La Crosse, WI 54601 608-792-1497
pmiller010 at gmail.com
Gary Friemann, 19444 Nine Oaks RD Spring Grove, MN 55974
Friday night, March 20: Four members are needed to set up the video
equipment, lathes, tables, and chairs. Dan Wilson will be at the Community
Center, but Phil Miller will probably be busy providing transportation for
Nick Cook from the Minneapolis Airport.
Saturday morning, March 21: Come to the workshop and enjoy. A few members
are needed to help with the cleanup and equipment takedown and storage at
the end of the day.
Sunday, March 22: Please register and attend the hands-on training by one
of the world’s leading turners. Attached is a list of projects you can
choose from for your training. You will need to bring your own tools, wood
and other supplies as shown, and safety equipment. Duane Hill, A Line
Machine Tools, and the CRW will provide the lathes. It is recommended you
bring enough wood for at least two or three projects.
Please send an email or phone Phil Miller to let him know if you can help
with any of the activities listed above.
