[Crw-talk] Road Trip June meeting

Hello all club members. Not sure if Phil means an empty bag or bag filled with goodies.  Anyway, an additional appetizer follows.

We have a wonderful opportunity to explore the Town of Stevenson on June 20 for the picnic, wood turning demo by John Frawley, Steve and Carol's well equipped woodworking studio, and experience the very well appointed 30's and 40's museum. The museum includes an innovative Town of Ocooch Mountains multilevel, multiscene model railroad layout, multiple restored cars, trucks, and tractors, artifacts from that era, including a telephone office with switchboard, Thompson's mercantile store with many artifacts, Jimmy Walker Ford, Murphy's Implement featuring John Deere, Tom's Barber Shop, a purse belonging to Liz Taylor, Fire Department,  Dr's office, the Lady in Red, Post Office, Police Station and Paddy Wagon, Leo's Radio Sales and Service, a 1923 Mail carrier snow mobile and so much more. Llamas and alpacas to boot.

We are finalizing our list for our June meeting.

Road trip to the Stevenson's June 20th 9am.

 

John Frawley will be demoing how he makes one of his bowls.

 

The Stevenson's museum will be open.

 

We will be having a picnic lunch Brats and dogs. Carol will make a pot of beans.

If you want bring a dish, a dessert or a bag to pass.

The fee will be $10, and we need to know who will be coming.

 

If you plan on being their and have not told us you are coming we need to know.

Ride share / convoy. 

Jim Frank will be leaving Sam's club parking lot at 7am be early.
