Odell Andersen will be discussing wood carving (Birds) and wood burning. He would like to have a hands on workshop of burning template patterns of objects on slabs of wood he will supply to provide you with a trial of how to burn patterns into wood successfully. He will have 12 work stations set up for use during his presentation.

I Have 8 wood burning tools and need 12 wood burning tools to use during the demonstration and asking any member with a wood burning kit to bring it for all to use during the presentation. Please send an e-mail to myself or Jim Frank if you have a wood burning tool that can be used during the meeting. The E-mail address’s are JHFBEAR1 at charter.net, Mine is odell818 at centurytel.net remember, we need 12 tools to do the job. Wood Burning tables will be set up in the front of the room 4 spaces per table. Each person that wants to try burning a pattern in the wood must take turns so all can try. This means that each person should not take more than 15 minutes at a turn. This will be a compellation of 4-5 people per work project. The sketches to choose from are a deer, squirrel and “Horton the elephant” sitting in a tree, you choose. This should be fun and a learning experience.
