Just thought I would mentioned and remind about hauling wood across the
state line and from County to County.
It can turn into an expenses load of wood very fast...
Thanks

An update to that message. Here's a photo of the ash pieces I got from
Pettibone this morning. That big one in the center was about all I could
manage to lift on to the tailgate.

I got a call from one of the city forestry crews, and they have begun taking
down trees on Pettibone Island. We are free to pick up some of the larger
pieces left by the lumber crews. I checked it out this morning. There is a
large 24-30" diameter trunk section and a few other chunks in a pile in the
parking lot across from the beach house. That's to the right just after you
cross the stone bridge coming into the park. You will need a chainsaw,
preferably a larger one, and maybe some help loading. This is heavy stuff. I
think there will be more where this came from if we show some interest in
picking up this material. It's free wood!
