Dear Fellow Turners:

Within a couple months, I will need to have a cane for walking.  I have spent the last hour looking for hardware.  Cane heads are pretty easy to find, but I have seen, but now can't find, hardware to connect 2 or 3 pieces of wood together to make a cane.  I saw one Sunday turned by a guy who is not in our club and when I asked him where he got the hardware, he could not remember.  The cane was in 4 or perhaps, 3 segments and the segments would unscrew for easy storage, or packing in a suitcase.

There is some urgency about this, as I have a month or so before the doctors are going to replace both my knees, and that is enough time to make something which looks better than the Wal Mart Pharmacy special.

I would appreciate suppliers you might be aware of.
