Bob, this sounds like a very worthy cause and as a Gundersen retiree I support it very much.  I will donate a piece, will maybe leave it off at the Folk Festival since I am not going to be able to go to Shorty's this year either.  John

Dear all,
The attached letter is a request, from the Gundersen Medical Foundation, to contribute our turned piece(s) to benefit missionary work conducted by Gundersen’s Global Partner’s initiative. This is a very worthy cause and benefits a lot of people. Gundersen Doctors, Nurses, and many other support people  donate their time and money for travel and lodging to provide medical, nursing, and numerous support services within the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, South Dakota, the Matagalpa district of Nicaragua, and with our new partners in Yetebon, Ethiopia.

If you would like to contribute one or more of your pieces to tis most worthy cause, please let me know. I may not be able to come to Shorty’s this year, but Jim Frank offered t collect any donated pieces for this event. Also, you can either drop your pieces off to me at my home (3480 Greenbriar Ct., LaCrosse-call first at 608-386-4650) or I can pick up within a reasonable distance.

Also, please include a paper with each piece with your name , description of piece and wood used, and the value. This will be passed along to the event sponsors.
