5-2-13 Update: Additional turners have generously picked up some slots.
Please see below and let me know your interest.
Need additional turners/booth people for 2 time slot openings on Saturday,
and 3 slot openings for Sunday. Please see below for times needed. Of
course, any and all are also welcome to participate.
This is another wonderful opportunity to sell your art and promote wood
turning. The festival has had good attendance by the general public in the
past.
This is what we need as we plan to use 2 mini lathes.
- people to get lathes and items from the Onalaska Community Center on
Friday evening Aug 23, @ 6pm, night before event:
two club mini lathes, club's tent, display stands, 2 safety
shields, power cords, club's banner, first aid kit, and assorted other
stuff.
Duane Hill and Bob Raasch will do this. Duane is bringing cash
box and couple of small tables. Bob will supply $50 in smaller bills for
change.
Pack up the goods and return them to the Community Center at 4 pm on
Sunday. Bob R will be there @ 4pm to help. Need 1 other person with small
SUV or truck to take back to the Center.
1. Turners to demonstrate and manage the selling and display booth.
Bring your own wood to turn, sharp tools, safety gear and a chuck (1" -
8tpi) if
possible.
2. Products to sell.
3. Bring comfortable chairs and food as desired. I believe food is
also sold at the event.
4. If you have items to sell, mark the price them (club gets 25%),
bring them to the event or contact one of the members that will be listed in
a later email. While we will make every effort to protect your items, the
CRW club or its members assume no responsibility for damage to products.
Fest opens at 10 am each day. Demonstrations close at 5pm on Saturday and 4
pm on Sunday.
Members, please see the schedule opportunities below and let me know the
times you desire to participate.
