Hello All,

I wanted to let you know I went out there today to pick up some supplies. Very nice people running it. I am very happy with what I picked up. DO NOT USE GOOGLE TO FIND THIS PLACE!!! I repeat DO NOT USE GOOGLE TO FIND THIS PLACE. You will be on a 3 hour wild goose chase through back country roads and arrive at an empty field.

That being said super easy to get to. If coming from La Crosse take hwy 14/61 towards Reedstown. Past Reedstown is County Highway E. Make a left onto Cty Hwy E. The place is the second property on the right. (First one past the cemetary.) Selection of pen blanks was quite nice. I picked up a few along with my order of Maple I was needing. I have a catalog for them that I will be bringing to the next meeting.

I think a club road trip to Viola is in order.  It would be a nice drive through some pretty countryside, and the round-trip cost for fuel is less than $20 for most rigs.  I wonder how the new owners would feel about 60- 70 wood turners showing up all at once?  : > )

I found out about these guys today. Pen blanks at 50 cents each is a pretty good deal. I ordered some maple spindles from them as well and will be picking them up on Monday.
The best part is they are "local" ie Viola.
