A few years ago, I entered the contest and also talked to Ansel in
submitting a couple of pieces to ( even though he did not think he would win
anything or myself) We were both were excepted to go to Madison and we both
Won our divisions. We were both competing with all other types of art works.
It was the first time any type of wood subjects ever won in the State
competition. It is a good time and anyone can win.

I heard from Carol Witt-Smith that she would accept an application at the
time you bring your pieces in on Wednesday. Also, she has extended the time
on Wednesday and will accept pieces from 6-8 pm in addition to the earlier
time.

This was announced in the LaCrosse Tribune a few weeks back. A few years
back, I entered a piece for WRAP sponsored by the Pump House. I plan to
enter a few this time, too. If you win a State award, you will have your
piece on display in Madison. If you advance, you can win cash prizes, but I
believe need to be a member to do so. Join in!

Here is a copy of the entry blank and rules. Bring the form and check on
the drop off day. Make sure the bottom label is on each piece. The entry
includes coming to the oil pastel workshop on Oct 6th which should be fun to
learn something new.
