Turn-On! Chicago 2012
August 3-5, 2012
University of Saint Mary’s of the Lake
Hello fellow woodturner, I hope you enjoyed your past visit to Chicago for the Turn-On! Chicago woodturning symposium's in 2008 and 2010. The Chicago Woodturners are happy to announce that another educational and entertaining event is being planned from August 3-5, 2012. It will once again be held on the relaxing and scenic grounds of the University of Saint Mary’s of the Lakein the northern suburbs of Chicago.
This year we have expanded the event to a full three days with a total of 16 demonstrators doing 60 demonstrations in 12 rotations. The featured demonstrators include Eli Avisera, Stuart Batty, Dixie Biggs, Kurt Hertzog, John Jordan, and Bob Rosand. Also included is a tradeshow, full meal package, instant gallery. A banquet and auction conducted by the AAW's John Hill will be held on Saturday evening. Attached is a brochure with more information about the symposium.
Registration is now open and has limited attendance so don’t delay. As in past years, there is also limited housing available on-site at a reasonable rate. Visit www.turnonchicago.com for more details and instructions regarding registration. This site will be continually updated in the coming months as details are finalized for rotations and topics so periodically check back.
Spread the word and bring a friend. I am looking forward to seeing you this summer.
