Greetings:
Fifteen years or so ago, while I still had a job, I was at a business lunch were Pheasant under glass was served. I noticed on the menu it was listed at about $40 a plate. No, it was great even though I didn’t order it or pay for it. The past said now to the current. What an incredible cornucopia of dishes were had yesterday. Everything from the all American hotdog to pheasant (in a crock pot) it was far superior to the memories of pheasant under glass. It is a good thing that the plates were not any bigger or I would not have been able to carry mine. Do to my lack of control Pepto was the order of the afternoon. It is not that if one dish was better then any there, but we all had just so much room. I say that you all did your best to elevate the need not to take leftovers home.
Something needs to be said to all that arrive at 8:30 or later and leave at the end with the expiations that there will be hot coffee on arrival and all that goes with it - Have programs to learn from, a chair to set in, have changes and raffles available, etc. There is a group of fellow member that often start their meeting at 7:00 PM Friday night only to return at 7:30 or so on Saturday morning, to have ready what you enjoy and except. Many of those same members say later for clean up and to return the faculty to the shape it needs to be in for other programs. Please take a minute out of you busy schedules and thank those members who but so much effort in. I’m sure a few thanks would be appreciated
Clyde
