Dear Fellow Woodturner,

I am writing to you to let you know about my availability to speak at your club during the Fall 2012 through Spring 2013 time period.

I offer two-day and longer presentations to clubs. A typical scenario for a club visit takes place over a weekend starting with a Power Point lecture on the evening of my arrival. This is followed with two days of seminars. Some clubs have me teach hands on classes for a day or two before or after the lecture program.

I am an educator and author on woodturning and woodworking, having written ten books and hundreds of articles on the subject. Turn a Bowl with Ernie Conover, Turning for Furniture, The Lathe Book (2 editions) and The Frugal Woodturner are the titles of my turning books. I am also a founding board member of the AAW holding membership number 004.

My fee structure is $600 per day plus expenses, with a two-day minimum, but I throw in the evening slide lecture as part of the $1,200 fee. I am glad to stay with a club member as long as it is a nonsmoking home. I spending about half my time in Shelburne Falls, MA these days and am glad to figure travel to your club from Ohio or Massachusetts, whichever is closer.
