It's that time of year again, time for the Great River Folk Festival.
We have done this festival for the last 5-6 years. This year, the
festival is Saturday, August 25 and Sunday, August 26. We will have a
booth and will be demonstrating. The Festival is held on the UW-L
campus. I am looking for several things, pieces to display/sell at the
booth; people to demonstrate; people to man the booth and people to help
set up and tear down.

Pieces that are to be sold/displayed should be into me no later than
Thursday, August 23. I will have a box available at the meeting at
Shorty's if you want to bring them to the meeting. All pieces should
have the turner's name, spieces of wood, finish and price. If for
display only, mark them as not for sale. The club paid the booth fee,
therefore 25% of all proceeds will go to the club.

We will need to man the booth and demonstrate from 9:00 through 5:00 on
Saturday and from 9:00 to 4:00 on Sunday. I would like to set up shifts
of 3-4 hours in length for the booth and demonstrators. If you are
interested in doing either or both, let me know by the club meeting on
August 18. Let me know what days and times you would like to do and
whether you want to man the booth and/or demonstrate. I will put out a
schedule shortly after the meeting.

Setup on Saturday will be from 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM. Will need at least 4
people to set up. Take down will start at 4:00 PM on Sunday and should
last about an hour or so. Let me know if you are interested in set up
or take down or both.

Any questions, give me a call at 608-783-0883 (home) or 608-397-9526
(cell). You can also e-mail me at wisawdust at charter.net.
